First Christmas

Here are Lucy's first Christmas pictures. She was such a good little ladybug - I expected tears given that she sometimes doesn't like unfamiliar situations but she was a champ.

Christmas Photos

Here are the kids Christmas pics this year. I can't believe how big they are getting (and excuse the photo quality - I scanned these).

Almost 10 months!!

Little dolly is almost 10 months old and we just got her to the doctors for her 9 month check up (our doctor was away). She is doing well and is now 30 inches long and weights 17 lbs 7 oz.

Lucy has 4 teeth (her top two came in on November 24) and LOVES to squeal. She screeches and squeals in delight much of the time she is awake. She babbles quite a bit too, but I think she feels like she needs to screech to be heard above her brother. She has also learned to wave and clap which is adorable. She's almost walking but crawls most often because she can do it so quickly and she is still unsteady on her feet.

Seasons Greetings!

Apologies in advance for those who read both of our blogs....

Today was Lucy's first time visiting with Santa - and she did AMAZING (as did Nate, which was a relief)!

And now for the video link:

Happy first Christmas baby girl!

Merry Christmas!

Today the kids got their picture taken with Santa (and Holly the elf). Neither cried, which was amazing!

And the video link:

It was the crazies experience though. Apparently our mall has decided to make sitting on Santa's lap free, but is asking for a donation to a children's charity. This resulted in a huge line up (as every teenager in our city decided they needed their picture with Santa - for a quarter). I hope people really are donating, because the Santa was great, and the money is going to a good cause.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy belated birthday Dad ("you're my best friend, right Dad?")!

Love your two little munchkins.

9 months old!

Little Lucy is 9 months old! I can't believe she is 3 months away from turning one. She continues to be the happiest baby we have ever met. She constantly smiles and giggles and lights up when Mario, Nate or I enter a room (see picture #4 below). She hasn't had her 9 month appointment yet, but I think shes about 17.5 lbs and 30 inches. I'll report back. In the meantime, here are some recent photos.

Movember!

Mario has decided to grow a mustache for cancer during November. Anyway, my mom thought it would be cute when she was staying with us last week to make mustaches for the kids - and it was! (Oh, and can you guess which shirt is Nate's favourite at the moment? Nothing like doing laundry daily!!)

Happy Holloween!

Happy Halloween! This year, Nate celebrated Halloween by making cookies and "carving" pumpkins with his grandparents - how lucky! Here is our serious little chef, and then a few of our giggly little bat!

8 months old!

Our little ladybug is 8 months old today and turning into such a lovely little girl. She is very calm and content, but curious as well. Anything she wants, she gets on her own. I always wonder if that is because she is our second child, or if it just who she is. I am so proud of her. She crawls all over the place now, and is pulling herself into a standing position. She still smiles and giggles all the time and is a great sleeper. She loves her new nanny, and sleeps far better for her during the day than she ever has for us. She has two bottom teeth and is almost ready for her second haircut!
We love you Lucy!

Twins?

Can you see them?

If you look very closely, you can spot Lucy's two new teeth! Oh, and how adorable is it that she has discovered the girl in the mirror?!!

And guess who's starting to crawl?

Lucy-Lu is 7 months!

Lucy turned 7 months this week! 7 months! She had a great doctor's appointment on Friday, but cried there for the first time. She is really starting to make strange. She now weighs 15 lbs 12 oz and is 29 inches long! I also took her to get her first hair cut (well, trim) given how her bangs were constantly in her eyes if she didn't have a pony tail. Here are some recent pics. Enjoy!

My babies!

Finally, a picture with me and BOTH of the kids!! I can't believe how grown up Nate is, and Lucy for that matter! She is getting bigger by the minute! She is 7 months old now. 7 months! It seems like just yesterday "we went to the hospital to pick out our Lucy" (as Nate says). Here she is sporting her first haircut (and wearing Nate's old outfit).

Nate is still loving school and Lucy is settling in well to her new routine. She loves mealtime now that she gets "real food" (cereal, veggies and fruit) and is mesmerized by her big brother.

Say cheese!

Guess who woke up with a bottom left tooth this morning??!! Our little Lucy! We can't believe she didn't even give us a clue it was on its way up. Quite different from another certain someone who lives here....

Let's just say it's very clear which one of children takes after his mom and which her dad!

Could she possibly be any cuter??

No way! It overwhelms me daily just how cute our little lady is (to us anyway!). She is such a happy good little girl and spends most of the day smiling and giggling away. Oh, and learning how to sit! That's right, with a little help Lucy is sitting up. Here are some recent pics of her showing off!
