6 months old!

Happy half birthday Lucy! I can't believe our little ladybug is already six months!! She is such a happy little girl, smiling and giggling all the time. Sometimes even if she cries (which is rare) she breaks into a smile and just coos. It is adorable! She is such a laid back bug.

I'm so proud of our princess. She is such a lovely little girl.

Lucy had her six month check up yesterday. Our doctor said she was perfect. She weighs 14 lbs 15 oz and is 28 inches long! Little string bean.

Cottage Fun!

We have been spending lots of time at the cottage this summer and Nate really seems to be enjoying it! Here are a few pics from a recent weekend away! Thanks Grammie and Grandpa Gar! Although Nate thinks you have given the cottage to him - his room, his bath, his beach etc....

She Likes It!

Now that she is almost six months old (!) we decided to let Lucy try rice cereal. Here she is during her first attempt. She seemed a bit unsure of the spoon and what to do with the cereal once it was in her mouth, but eventually she got the hang of it and she loved it!

Soccer!

Nate is playing soccer this summer on Saturday mornings. And by playing soccer, I mean learning about soccer. Each child has their own ball - so even during the "games", it's really just Nate trying to "score". It is so cute watching him. He gets so excited when the coaches ask questions, and is always the first / loudest to answer. Hmmm.... I wonder where he gets that from....

A trim?

Recently we have wondered about trimming Lucy's hair. Yes, she is only 5 1/2 months old, but her hair is long and it is straight - which means it hangs in her eyes. We didn't cut Nate's hair until after his first birthday, and it still killed me to watch someone with scissors that close to my baby's head. For now, we are using little clips (see pic below), but I might have to come up with a better solution. I'm pretty certain that we wont cut it. Any ideas?
